Speak or type
Tap the microphone to record a short voice message or type in the composer. FaceVI switches to Listening, then securely sends the submitted clip to xAI Speech to Text for transcription.

AI prepares the answer
The secure PHP backend checks your account and credits, sends the conversation to the configured xAI API and changes the avatar to Thinking.

Watch and hear the response
FaceVI sends the reply text to xAI Text to Speech using the character’s assigned voice. The avatar switches to Speaking while the generated audio plays, then returns to Idle.

Record locally when needed
Optional browser recording creates a file on your device. The recording media is not stored on the FaceVI web server.

The $199/month custom plan adds a visual brief, payment workflow, private production folder, approval, account delivery and 1,000 FaceVI minutes each paid month.
Choose or upload
Select a FaceVI preset or upload a JPG, PNG or WebP reference that you own or have permission to use.
Name and direct it
Define the character’s role, personality, voice and visible behavior for idle, listening, thinking, speaking and gesture.
Complete Stripe payment
Your brief is saved first. A confirmed recurring $199 payment moves the order from Awaiting payment to Pending review.
Track production
Your dashboard shows Pending, In production, Needs information or Ready, including the timeline and payment history.
Admin loads five videos
The FaceVI administrator uploads idle.mp4, listening.mp4, thinking.mp4, speaking.mp4 and gesture.mp4 into your private account order folder.
Approval activates FaceVI
After all five files and payment are verified, your character appears only in your account and you receive a confirmation email.
About the 24-hour target
The normal goal is up to 24 hours after confirmed payment and a complete usable submission. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline. Requests requiring clarification, rights verification, revisions or unusual production work can take longer.

No. Approved custom characters are marked private and are returned only when the signed-in account owns them.
The production videos are placed in an account-and-order-specific folder on the FaceVI server. Customer browser recordings remain local to the customer device.
No. The customer must own or have permission to use the image and identity. FaceVI may reject deceptive, unlawful, unauthorized or unsafe requests.
Yes. The admin character editor can update prompts, voice settings and each of the five video paths.
The design brief remains Awaiting payment and production does not begin until the signed Stripe event confirms payment.
